Terms and Conditions
Terms and Conditions – 313 Driving School
These Terms and Conditions form a legally binding agreement between you (the pupil) and 313 Driving School. By booking lessons, you agree to all of the following terms.
1. Eligibility and Legal Requirements
You must be at least 17 years old and hold a valid UK provisional driving licence.
You must present your licence before your first lesson. Failure to do so may result in your lesson being cancelled with full charge.
You must inform your instructor of any medical condition, medication, or disability that could affect your driving.
You must not attend lessons under the influence of drugs or alcohol. If suspected, the lesson will be terminated, and you will be charged in full.
2. Lesson Bookings and Payments
All lessons must be paid for at least 48 hours in advance.
Bookings are generally for 2-hour sessions, unless otherwise agreed in advance.
Block bookings must be used within 6 months from the date of first use unless otherwise stated.
Instructors will provide a clean, roadworthy dual-controlled vehicle for training purposes.
3. Cancellations and Missed Lessons
A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required for cancelling or rescheduling lessons.
Late cancellations (less than 48 hours) will be charged in full at the standard rate or deducted from block bookings.
If the pupil does not appear within 15 minutes of the agreed pick-up time and makes no contact, the instructor is entitled to leave, and the lesson will still be charged.
Instructors may cancel lessons due to emergencies or breakdowns. If so, the session will be rescheduled or refunded.
4. Instructor Responsibilities
All instructors are DVSA approved, fully insured, and will act professionally at all times.
Instructors will treat all pupils with fairness, equality, and respect, without discrimination of any kind.
If a mechanical issue occurs during a lesson, any lost time will be added to a future session or refunded.
If the pupil causes damage due to driving error, time spent addressing the issue (e.g., tyre replacement) will be deducted from the lesson.
5. Driving Test Use
Instructors reserve the right to refuse the use of the tuition car for your driving test if you are deemed not ready. At least 5 working days’ notice will be given.
If the DVSA examiner refuses the car for the test due to vehicle defects unknown to the instructor, a replacement test fee will be covered by the instructor.
If the pupil causes damage to the car during the test, and the repair cost is below the insurance excess, the pupil may be liable for the repair.
Additional charges may apply on the day of your test (e.g., extended support or pre-test session).
6. Social Media and Promotions
We may take photos or short videos of pupils who pass for use on our social media pages and promotional material.
We will never publish your full name or personal details without your permission.
7. Complaints Procedure
In the first instance, all complaints should be raised with your instructor.
If the issue is unresolved, please email 313drivingschool@gmail.com.
We aim to acknowledge complaints within 5 working days and resolve them within 14 days.
8. Data Protection (GDPR)
313 Driving School will collect and securely store only essential personal data for the purposes of managing your lessons and DVSA communications.
Data may include your name, contact information, driving licence number, payment information, and test history.
We handle your data in compliance with UK GDPR and do not share it without your consent except where required by law.
9. Liability and Legal Responsibility
All training vehicles are fully insured for learner drivers under supervision.
Pupils are not responsible for accidental vehicle damage, except where caused by negligent or reckless behaviour.
We are not liable for any personal belongings left in the vehicle.
It is your legal responsibility to inform 313 Driving School of any driving-related legal changes or penalties that occur during your time learning with us.
This includes but is not limited to:
Points (endorsements) added to your provisional licence
Convictions related to driving offences
Any DVLA suspensions or investigations
Failure to notify the school may result in lesson suspension or cancellation without refund.
10. Changes to These Terms
313 Driving School reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. While formal written notice may not always be provided, any important updates or changes will be discussed directly between the instructor and the pupil prior to continuing with future lessons. This ensures mutual understanding and agreement going forward.
